Dr. Rick Kittles' comments on the profound importance of Dr. King’s statement was visibly lost on the majority of the audience attending his departmental seminar on how Vitamin D deficiency may influence prostate cancer development and severity. It was a reminder for me that the work of our Division was critical in engaging discussions about health equity as a social justice issue across various disciplines.
